Google Compute Engine (GCE) is Google Cloud’s foundational IaaS component, enabling enterprises to elastically run virtual machines on global infrastructure. As a mature product burdened by legacy design debt rather than a greenfield project, its fragmentation across conflicting design systems complicates displaying high-density technical data without overwhelming users. I led interface design audits to fully update the GCE design system, while actively driving the development and implementation of the new Cloud Design System (CDS).
